New version and current developments
The EU Commission is pressing ahead with the revision of the Machinery Directive. The VDMA is closely involved in the process and has been appointed to the Machinery Directive Advisory Group of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. This enables us to effectively represent the interests of mechanical engineering. What legal developments can the manufacturer face and what opportunities are there?
In addition, the VDMA has long pursued the goal of converting the operating manual to an electronic form. In our experience, the manufacturer must be able to decide on the information transfer technology. In addition to the paper version, the transmission of electronic documents must be permitted. However, this requires legal prerequisites. With the VDMA proposal, a further step has been taken to achieve this goal. Find out more about other aspects of the revised version
We are looking forward to your questions and contributions at the VDMA exchange of experience Machinery Directive.
